MEET OUR FRIENDLY STAFF

We follow your pet through the many phases of their lives. From specialized and preventative care during their younger years to regular wellness checks as they age to prevent and detect problems before they arise. We know your pet is important to you, that is why we work hard to ensure they are given only the best in care through all the years of their lives.

DR. MICHELE ESTHEIMER

OWNER/ VETERINARIAN

Dr. Michele Estheimer is excited to return to her roots and to be with her patients and clients. Opening her own, privately held, Veterinary Practice to serve the community she grew up in, has been her dream. She has practiced all over town in both private and corporate settings and there is nowhere she would rather be than in her home community of Marana. It was important for Dr. Estheimer to create a unique veterinary experience that her team, patients and clients all would enjoy. Her Dad was paramount in her ability to create Tangerine Pet Clinic.

Dr. Michele Estheimer attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. During that time, she also lived and studied at the University of Cambridge, Department of Veterinary Medicine, in the United Kingdom. After receiving her DVM, Dr. Estheimer returned home to Tucson to complete post DVM training, an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson, in Tucson, Arizona. She has been in general practice in Tucson ever since. Dr. Estheimer has an interest in preventive care, internal medicine, Valley Fever/Coccidioidomycosis, neurology and integrative medicine.

Before Dr. Estheimer attended UW-Madison for her DVM degree, she worked for QANTAS Airways for over 5 years and traveled the world… just ask her where! She is nearly a Tucson native, is one of the first graduating classes at Mountain View High School (GO LIONS!) and is also a graduate of the University of Arizona (GO CATS!) . She did research at the U of A back when they had a dairy herd and studied the effects of heat stress on dairy cows. Dr. Estheimer is excited at the opportunity to collaborate with UAZ CVM in their distributive model and assisting the next generation of Arizona educated Veterinarians to serve our community.

Dr. Estheimer is refreshed by traveling and spending time with friends. She is a Master [SCUBA] Diver, is an avid hiker and is always on the ready for her next adventure! She is learning to golf and will listen to any tips and tricks one might have! Her sidekick, Cora, (Corazón) is a 8 yo FS Black Lab Mix rescue from Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue and can be found at the Practice with her. She also volunteers her time and efforts with the Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue and in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico with local practices

Dr. Chelsie Narito
ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

Dr. Chelsie Barrett-Narito, DVM is a native of Maui, Hawaii. She is passionate about maintaining the human animal bond and strongly believes in keeping pets and their pet parents together whenever possible. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, she worked as a veterinary technician in a hybrid specialty hospital for many years on Oahu. It was during this time that she developed a strong interest in emergency medicine and critical care. She received her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Animal Science from the University of Hawai’i in 2009 and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Michigan State University in 2013. She went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in San Diego in 2014. She has been working in Emergency medicine since then and enjoyed the fast-paced work environment, large variety of challenging cases, and critical thinking associated with difficult cases. She celebrates when she can reunite her patients with their families. She believes in providing the highest level of care through education, communication, and goal directed teamwork.

Over the past year, Dr. Narito has been providing veterinary relief services throughout Tucson and North Scottsdale. After developing a strong sense for mental health, work-life balance, and well-being, she decided to pursue a new career path in the primary care setting. She values connection and a sense of community. Dr. Narito believes that she finally found an ideal practice and is overjoyed to be joining our team at Tangerine Pet Clinic.

She is married to her childhood sweetheart who is a physician here in our community. They have two little girls and a goofy Bernedoodle named Chief Teddy Fuzzy Butts Cupcake (his official name given by her 5yr and 3yr). In her free time, she enjoys reformer Pilates, movies nights in their back yard, and cheering for her daughters at their soccer and jujitsu events. When possible, she enjoys cooking, traveling, gardening, snowboarding, paddle boarding, and is in constant search for the ocean.
