MEET OUR FRIENDLY STAFF

We follow your pet through the many phases of their lives. From specialized and preventative care during their younger years to regular wellness checks as they age to prevent and detect problems before they arise. We know your pet is important to you, that is why we work hard to ensure they are given only the best in care through all the years of their lives.

DR. MICHELE ESTHEIMER

OWNER/ VETERINARIAN

Dr. Michele Estheimer is excited to return to her roots and to be with her patients and clients. Opening her own, privately held, Veterinary Practice to serve the community she grew up in, has been her dream. She has practiced all over town in both private and corporate settings and there is nowhere she would rather be than in her home community of Marana. It was important for Dr. Estheimer to create a unique veterinary experience that her team, patients and clients all would enjoy. Her Dad was paramount in her ability to create Tangerine Pet Clinic.

Dr. Michele Estheimer attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. During that time, she also lived and studied at the University of Cambridge, Department of Veterinary Medicine, in the United Kingdom. After receiving her DVM, Dr. Estheimer returned home to Tucson to complete post DVM training, an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson, in Tucson, Arizona. She has been in general practice in Tucson ever since. Dr. Estheimer has an interest in preventive care, internal medicine, Valley Fever/Coccidioidomycosis, neurology and integrative medicine.

Before Dr. Estheimer attended UW-Madison for her DVM degree, she worked for QANTAS Airways for over 5 years and traveled the world… just ask her where! She is nearly a Tucson native, is one of the first graduating classes at Mountain View High School (GO LIONS!) and is also a graduate of the University of Arizona (GO CATS!) . She did research at the UofA back when they had a dairy herd and studied the effects of heat stress on dairy cows. Dr. Estheimer is excited at the opportunity to collaborate with UAZCVM in their distributive model and assisting the next generation of Arizona educated Veterinarians to serve our community.

Dr. Estheimer is refreshed by traveling and spending time with friends. She is a Master [SCUBA] Diver, is an avid hiker and is always on the ready for her next adventure! She is learning to golf and will listen to any tips and tricks one might have! Her sidekick, Cora, (Corazón) is a 8 yo FS Black Lab Mix rescue from Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue and can be found at the Practice with her. She also volunteers her time and efforts with the Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue and in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico with local practices

DR. MARK WENNER

SEASONAL VETERINARIAN
Dr. Wenner has been in practice for 37 years. He graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. Dr. Wenner owned and operated a small animal practice in Rochester, MN for 27 years before partially retiring. Dr. Wenner is now a part-time resident of Oro Valley. He has continued to enjoy practicing part-time both here, at Tangerine Pet Clinic, and at his former practice on a part-time basis. Dr Wenner continues to enjoy the opportunity to care for pets and their families. He really enjoys medicine and surgery, as well as diagnostic technology such as ultra-sound and radiology.

When Dr. Wenner is not taking care of patients he can be found riding his bicycles. Road, mountain and gravel (generally not at the same time). He lives with his wonderful wife and 3 dogs. His dogs are quite a mix. Guinness, the standard poodle, Lucyfur, the chihuahua and Charlotte, the yellow lab, who is his wife’s certified service dog. Dr. Wenner also loves spending time with his 2                                                                                                  children and grandchildren back in MN during the summer months

Lori Anderson
VETERINARY OFFICE MANAGER & LEADER (retired)
Lori is originally from Ohio where she grew up on a farm and therefore was exposed to many different animals. She has always had a love of animals, and working in the veterinary field was a dream since she was very young.  After graduating from High School, she served 10 years in the USAF as a Russian Linguist and served four years in Germany. After getting out of the military, she took a few years off to raise her daughter, and was a military spouse. Once her daughter entered school, Lori enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program in Maryland.  Being a military spouse, she has moved several times and has worked as a Veterinary Technician in several different clinics across the country, and now as a CSR for many years.  She has had many pets over the years and is currently owned by 3 horses, 3 goats, 2 donkeys, and dogs and cats.  When not spending time with her pets, she enjoys reading and taking day trips to explore our great state.
